Did you MOVE today? If so.. let's give each other props! 19 Replies

A major part of losing weight (with health being the ultimate payoff) is exercise. What do you do regularly and for how long?

Two more rules: 1. Baseline weight: Did everyone record theirs? We need to know where we started. 2. DO NOT WEIGH YOURSELF EVERYDAY! Weight loss like this is going to be very gradual and water ret...

So true, portion control is what it's all about. However, do continue to dip into the sweet potato pies I made.. But hey, sweet potatos are good for you (smile)..Overall it sounds like everyone did great.. I'm continuing to walk 3.5 miles on the treadmill and will increase that to 4 miles next week.

Oh I'm trying to fight the urge to have another slice of pumpkin pie. It was so yummy. Not to toot my own horn or anything, but I'm a damn good cook!

Hey everyone.. So glad you all enjoyed without overindulging! Tahts the trick isn't it? I had a little of everything and stopped when I was full. Will have another little slice of apple pie tonight and then taht's it!

Happy thanksgiving everyone! I was successful in not gorging myself. I ate a little of everything I liked, and stopped when I was full. I could've fit the last of my pumpkin pie in, but then i wouldn't have been able to move, instead I left it for later. I feel successful. We've also got the total gym up and running, and I can't wait to work out tonight. I'm feeling very good about this holiday!

Ok everyone, today's the big turkey day...And instead of being so worried about what I'm going to eat today I've decided to enjoy myself with friends and family and get right back on track tomorrow. So Ladies, Happy Thanksgiving to you all and enjoy your time with loved ones.

Rene- Sorry it took so long for me to get back to you. Currently we're packing to move into a new, bigger home. Very excited about that, but also insanely stressed. This is a big killer for any diet, I'm starting to stress and as we go through things to pack the house is getting crazier and crazier and ordering out is becoming very common. We either head out of the chaos to have dinner or order in. So far I've been very strict, sticking to water, getting healthy subs when we order from the sub shop and keeping to small healthy portions when we eat out, but I know that if we don't get this under control soon I'll break and be eating bad quickly.

I've talked with my husband, told him I'm grateful for any help he can give me work out wise, but as for the diet, I've got that tied up neat and undercontrol. He didn't fight me on that either! He complimented me on my restraint. His exact words: "I know that, you always do well on the eating part, you just lack the working out..." So yay for the compliment, but Uh Oh cause I think the drill sargeant is loose and I'm his target *eep*

Did everyone get a chance to read the blog from Carla Braca, fitness expert and Good Enough Mother member? If you have questions, post them as she has graciously agreed to answer.

I am taking the train to Boston tomorrow to see my sister which means, wine and perhaps dessert. Just telling you now :0
