Hey Ladies.. 4 Replies

Well we have 27 more days before the end of the year. So realistically we could still lose 3-4 pounds (one pound a week) if we continue to exercise, eat right, drink water and WATCH PORTIONS! How's...

Did you MOVE today? If so.. let's give each other props! 19 Replies

A major part of losing weight (with health being the ultimate payoff) is exercise. What do you do regularly and for how long?

I am having quite a moment now and I must confess. My day began on a great path. I did my meditation, enjoyed a healthy breakfast, worked, tried to work out but had too many emergency interruptions...

Baseline weight 6 Replies

Two more rules: 1. Baseline weight: Did everyone record theirs? We need to know where we started. 2. DO NOT WEIGH YOURSELF EVERYDAY! Weight loss like this is going to be very gradual and water ret...

I haven't been able to weigh myself because our nifty new scale who's batteries are supposed to last forever, died, and we can't find a battery to fit in it yet. But I'm thinner. My shirts are fitting better, even straight from the drier, and i'm wearing my size 18 pants. I was currently a comfortable 20, now my 20's are falling off my butt. So this all has to mean something.

I'm starting a new challange though, since I'm going off my birth control because I was on Yaz and that has been recalled and my money hungry doctor won't write me a prescription for a new pill to get me through until my yearly appointment which is in January. She wants me to come in and pay ANOTHER co pay so she can write me a prescription for birth control. I say, no thank you. I think it's time for this woman to see what her real hormones are like, anyway. I have been on birthcontrol since i was 16(except for the 9 months I was pregnant with connor). If I remember correctly, though, I never had any problem losing weight before I was put on birth control, so I figure that a month off it might help me jump start my real losing.

Last week was a great week. I worked out everyday from Sunday to Saturday with the exceptions of Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday. I only had one plate on Thanksgiving - skipped dessert. I have no idea how much I weigh as I've decided not to weigh myself again until the end of the year. In the meantime, my face and my clothes are the best indication of my progress.

But not gaining is a small victory, don't you agree? Especially in light of Thanksgiving

walked Olivia and headed to the gym. Weighed myself this morning and didn't gain any during Thanksgiving.. How did everyone else do?

So true, portion control is what it's all about. However, do continue to dip into the sweet potato pies I made.. But hey, sweet potatos are good for you (smile)..Overall it sounds like everyone did great.. I'm continuing to walk 3.5 miles on the treadmill and will increase that to 4 miles next week.

Oh I'm trying to fight the urge to have another slice of pumpkin pie. It was so yummy. Not to toot my own horn or anything, but I'm a damn good cook!

Hey everyone.. So glad you all enjoyed without overindulging! Tahts the trick isn't it? I had a little of everything and stopped when I was full. Will have another little slice of apple pie tonight and then taht's it!

Happy thanksgiving everyone! I was successful in not gorging myself. I ate a little of everything I liked, and stopped when I was full. I could've fit the last of my pumpkin pie in, but then i wouldn't have been able to move, instead I left it for later. I feel successful. We've also got the total gym up and running, and I can't wait to work out tonight. I'm feeling very good about this holiday!
