Where do I start?
Tiger Woods, arguably the best golfer on the planet and one of the most, if not THE most well paid athlete around, gets in a car wreck last week. But this is not any car wreck and much like the layers of an onion, the more we peeled away, the more we wanted to cry.
It appears that our beloved Tiger, who built an entire empire on his squeaky clean image, marriage to the telegenic Elin, two beautiful babies, has been sleeping around. And around. And around.
There are all sorts…

I am so perplexed by
this. I have read the article once, will re-read it but I was so shaken by it. Even my 11 year old son said, "Mom we should write a letter." What do you think of this?

Good Enough Mother likes to envision the upcoming 6 weeks as an obstacle course she must maneuver in order to keep the pounds off. Invariably, she, like so many others, gains weight in the Thanksgiving to Christmas corridor and it chaps her butt. So she asked friend, fitness expert, owner of Westchester Athletic Boot Camp and Good Enough Mother member Carla Braca for some tips on keeping it all together. Read it ( favorite part is where she takes about cheat days, Yay Carla) take it in, practice…

1. Let your kids come home from trick or treating and eat at least 10 pieces of candy.
2. Raided their bag for a few pieces you REALLY wanted.
3. Fell asleep before they did, unable to monitor further candy consumption.
4. Allowed them to eat candy as an appetizer to breakfast.
Hey, it's one time a year.. can't hurt that bad, can it?

This is such a sad story. I know I may be opening a can of worms here, but along with being sad, this is incredibly STUPID on his part. And now he's dead, his wife can't even ask questions of him (like what happened, where did we go wrong) and his kids have a father who died in a tragic and shady fashion. Ugh

For those of you who have been following goodenoughmother.com these last couple of years, you know what a complete disaster this day has been for me in the past. Every year, Buff, who loves me dearly, asks what I want for this amazing holiday. And every year, I say the same thing. I WANT TO BE LEFT ALONE! I don’t want to see or hear anyone before noon and then, only if they are balancing a tray with eggs, pancakes and a single stem rose in a vase and a mimosa, of course.…

Good Enough Mother almost FREAKED yesterday.
Driving to the Hamptons (Long island) with kids in car. Rainy day, wet roads which would certainly add more time to an already long trip.
Had to make sure we had the proper provisions… personal pizza from Pizza Hut (actually the Pizza Hut inside Target) Whopper from BK (of course, there’s no WAY both kids would want to eat from the same place, don’t be silly!) as well as a bag full of candy (from the aforementioned Target).…

Good Enough Mother had to mete out some tough love the other day..
Man child was feeling overwhelmed because, in his words, it’s all too much, the homework, the video games… too much (insert crying, wringing of hands, gnashing of teeth here).

I woke kids up and then got them headed in the general direction of running water, and once immersed, I went downstairs to burn breakfast.
The mornings are pretty predictable around here; washing up, head downstairs where man child Cole, a small framed 10-year old boy proceeds to eat his weight in waffles. The delicate flower, Casey, picks and stares at her food, more staring than actual picking or eating.

Cole mentioned to me the other day, after I told him my scalp was sore, that perhaps I needed a lice check. LOL. I put it up on twitter (goodenufmother is my name there) and got a very cool response from Eleanor Keare, CEO of Circle of Friends. It's a company that makes natural shampoos and bath products for kids. Well, she has a Lice defense system. That's right, protect your little buggers before the bugs get them! Go to her site

The other day, my heart aching after watching my daughter tussle with friendship growing pains, it occurred to me.. We never REALLY get out of high school. Yep, that’s right. The experiences you had then, will continue until you are placed in a pine box. Here are three examples, though there are many more.
