YES YES YES ... I have selfish children. It has been an ongoing battle with all of us. My latest example is that my daughter 'ashley, who is 17 and a half, received papers from the school that they would like her to attend summer school. She was sooooooo shocked.... I don't know why when the paper stated she missed 11 days of school... Now I see her leave every morning and go to school. I think I would remember her missing 11 days. Thats like 2 weeks and 1 day. She insists they a legimate absentees.. YEAH RIGHT... but she has no clue how she has failed 3 classes. She has decided that the teacher doesn't like her, the school department doesn't like her... it's not that she's skipped 11 days of school.. NOOOOOOO that doesn't make sense to her. summer vacation has started I"m only 3 days in to it... I don't know if I"m gonna make it LOL

I can relate - my kids have that same view - even now and they are young adults. I taught my children at an early age that no one eats until everyone is served, yet they all manage to swallow their food in no time. They care they just think we're super humans. I am with you that we all have to take care of ourselves - that's my mantra. Great message - thanks for sharing!
